Beschreibung

I'm starting a new Eressea game, and we are two in the same region. I don't know if it's a bug... There is a lot of problems, because we can recruit only 12 men, in this mountain, for the 2 factions...

I've not been able to figure out how it happened, but I've written some verification code that will help me figure it ou when it happens again.

Being two factions in one region, even with 12 recruits, is not the end of the world, though. If you get along, you can split the recruits among yourself and explore the neighboring regions before too many other factions get there. You have 3 plains right next to that mountain, which should mean lots and lots of recruits.

It's not wonderful to share his homeland, but ok... This turn i see that the island is very crowed, i meet 6 other factions... And i don't understand something, Near me, there is 3 orc factions. One start in a plain with 452 trees The second start in a forest with 514 trees The third start in a plain with 0 trees ....

To give a lot of wood in the starting region is a great advantage. To start like orc without wood is non playable... So, it is not possible to add a forest in our island ? We are at most 2 faction in bad situation...

This is also not a bugThis is not a bug. Differnt factions get different starting conditions, it's always been that way. The goal is not to create the same starting conditions for everyone, but to create as many differnt ones as possible. In my personal opinion, starting with a mountain is just about the best position one can have.

The island is no more crowded than other islands.

You probably don't understand what i want to say...

It's not for me it's for the orc faction. I play Eressea since a lot of years, i played aquarians, demons(twice), elves(twice), goblins, insects and orcs. [Demons always start in a forest, insects always in desert, halflings always in swamp, goblins or orcs in forest or plain... (ok, you know that) Cat and goblins always start with a ring, humans always with a castle, goblins always with 10 people. Elves always with boots... So the starting conditions are always the same] I saw at most 10 starting regions for an orc, i never saw an orc starting with less than 300 wood, and generally orc start with 400-500 wood... So why one orc in my island start with 0 wood ? I think this region would be theorically my starting region (ok, elves never start with wood) and that the orc is not at the right place... No ?

(And iron are a little useless for elves than for other races :)
